During a PDP marketing campaign rally in Ondo Town on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, thugs allegedly loyal to Makinde removed the cap from the head of former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose.
It took safety personnel to restore calm to the venue of the rally afterwards as tempers flared.
Fayose and Makinde have been on a warpath over political variations.

In a assertion, the Ondo State authorities says the attack on Fayose is ample affirmation that Makinde has imported thugs into Ondo to disrupt the election and attack the people.
