The African Democratic Congress, on Thursday suspended some of its officers in Ondo State for supporting the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Rotimi Akeredolu and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Eyitayo Jegede.
This is coming two days to the October 10 governorship election within the state.
According to the party, some of its officers declared support for Akeredolu, while different gave their support to Jegede.
The Vice Chairman of the party, Peter Edeh, while talking on the party’s grand finale rally in Akure, said the members have been suspended for anti-party actions.
He named Ibrahim Rasheed as new performing Chairman and Timothy Akinola as performing Secretary in Ondo.
National Chairman, Ralphs Nwosu, represented by Ibrahim Suleiman, described the party’s candidate, Dapo Adelegan, as essentially the most credible politician.
Adelegan while talking on the Saturday election said he is assured of victory on Saturday.
