Harry Maguire, Jadon Sancho and Dominic Calvert-Lewin all netted as England breezed to a 3-0 win over the Republic of Ireland at Wembley.
The hosts confirmed some defensive fragility early on but drew first blood by means of Maguire, who rose excessive to head home Harry Winks’ deep cross. England then doubled their benefit when Sancho fired a fierce shot by means of Jeff Hendrick’s legs and past Darren Randolph within the Irish goal.
After the break, the guests’ distress continued when Cyrus Christie introduced Bukayo Saka down within the field. The ensuing penalty was dispatched clinically by Calvert-Lewin.

Nick Pope (GK) – 7/10 – A pair of nice excessive claims before being replaced on the break. Did his probabilities of displacing Jordan Pickford no hurt.
Michael Keane (CB) – 7/10 – Kept issues ticking over properly on the right of the back three, racking up a staff excessive 91 passes in complete.
Harry Maguire (CB) – 8/10 – A ‘captain’s goal’ got the party began within the first half.
Tyrone Mings (CB) – 7/10 – Always a menace within the opposing field from corners and infrequently troubled in his own 18 yard space.
Reece James (RWB) – 8/10 – Impressive. Some nice crosses and pushed forward fantastically.
Mason Mount (CM) – 7/10 – Ended up taking 11 corners, one of which (variety of) led to a goal.
Harry Winks (CM) – 7/10 – Great ball in for Maguire’s goal. Keep it neat and tidy apart from that.
Bukayo Saka (LWB) – 8/10 – Very practically netted the second after a nice run. Also won a penalty.
Jadon Sancho (RW) – 8/10 – His third ever England goal was very nicely taken.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin (ST) – 8/10 – Pressed the Irish centre backs relentlessly. Great penalty as nicely.
Jack Grealish (LW) – 8/10 – Very constructive show. Always wished the ball and looked to create when he had it.
Dean Henderson – 7/10 – Made one save with the side of his foot on debut. Proper five-a-side goalkeeper with none gloves vibes. Looked assured.

Darren Randolph (GK) – 5/10 – Looked a bit shaky at occasions. Nearly spilled the ball straight into Saka’s path early on.
Cyrus Christie (RB) – 4/10 – Had a robust time with Sancho and Grealish swapping wings. Clumsily conceded a penalty after the break.
Shane Duffy (CB) – 4/10 – Some sloppy moments. Out-jumped by Maguire for the opener.
John Egan (CB) – 6/10 – Was replaced after simply 14 minutes following a clash of heads.
Matt Doherty (LB) – 5/10 – The choose of the Irish defenders, Doherty made a couple of good interceptions and clearances.
Alan Browne (CM) – 5/10 – A bit of a passenger. Struggled to acquire a foothold in midfield.
Conor Hourihane (CM) – 5/10 – Very passive in his press, hardly ever participating Winks and co.
Jeff Hendrick (CM) – 4/10 – Should have got tighter to Sancho for his goal. Offered next to nothing in possession.
Daryl Horgan (RW) – 5/10 – Extremely restricted affect. Touched the ball simply 18 occasions within the first half.
Adam Idah (ST) – 5/10 – A number of good moments but he largely looked out of his depth.
Callum O’Dowda (LW) – 6/10 – Registered his side’s solely shot of the first half.
Dara O’Shea – 5/10 – Given the runaround by the England frontline. Might have most popular to stay on the bench…
