No one would have been more peeved than Robert Lewandowski when it was introduced that the 2020 Ballon d’Or was not going to be awarded.

Thanks to his otherworldly goalscoring form, the Bayern Munich striker would have been the heavy favorite to scoop the famous prize for the first time in his career. Alas, his exceptional form throughout this most turbulent of years is now in peril of being forgotten.
